The Bearbrick Keith Haring #10 is inspired by Keith Haring's distinctive style, known for its bold lines and simplified human figures, but more specifically, it draws from his series of works that combine human forms, symbols, and abstract shapes to convey energy and dynamism.
The Bearbrick Keith Haring 10 incorporates elements of Haring's mural art, which often features dancing figures, outlined forms, and other iconic motifs rendered in bright colors and strong black lines. These visuals reflect Haring's commitment to making art accessible and full of positive energy. The Bearbrick is decorated with the kinds of figures and patterns that Haring used to address themes such as the fight against AIDS, peace, and equality.
This particular model celebrates Haring's creativity and iconography, not by referencing a single, specific work, but by capturing the essence of his unique style and artistic approach that revolutionized street art and pop culture.
Bearbrick (rendered Be@rbrick) is a collectible toy designed and produced by the Japanese company MediCom Toy Incorporated. The name is derived from the fact that the figure is a cartoon-style representation of a bear and that it is a variation of MediCom's Kubrick design. The at sign in the place of the letter a is a visual device that is a part of the Bearbrick brand, and as such, a trademark of MediCom Toy.
The figure is an anthropomorphized bear with an extremely simplified form and a pot belly. Each plastic figure features nine parts (widely referred to as tools in the toy industry): head, torso, hips, arms, hands, and legs; These nine tools allow eight points of articulation: swivel head, swivel waist, ball joint arms, swivel wrists, and ball joint legs.
