Blue
Indigo, azure, cyan, cobalt... there are dozens of shades of blue. This reassuring and calming colour - once derived from precious minerals - has always inspired artists. And this is no coincidence! Associated with the monarchy for a time, blue triumphs from the 20th century onwards. Blue holds an important place in his works on Biblical themes, because it is a colour that is associated with the divine, even the Virgin Mary. Without forgetting of course, the artist whose name is inseparable from the colour blue: Yves Klein.
