Movses Poghosyan

I am a professional visual artist based in Yerevan, Armenia, with nearly three decades of experience in artistic practice and education. I studied Fine Arts at Yerevan State Pedagogical University from 1990–1996.

Art, for me, is a way to explore the invisible architecture of the human soul its emotions, memories, and silences. My work moves between figurative and abstract, often merging the two. I am interested in how the human form can transform into geometry, how emotion becomes movement, and how balance emerges through contrast. Line, rhythm, texture, and light play a central role in shaping each composition, creating a dialogue between clarity and mystery.

My artistic journey began at the age of three, when my uncle, a professional artist, gave me my first notebook and colored pencils. Since then, art has remained my way of understanding and observing the world. I've been fortunate to share my work in different parts of the world, and today my paintings live in private homes across Europe, the Middle East, Canada, and the United States.
