Wei-Hong Ma

Ma Wei-Hong is a Chinese artist born in 1977 who lives and works in Songzhuang in Pekin, China. She graduated from Shanxi Yuncheng College of Arts and then from the mural painting department of the prestigious CAFA in Beijing. She belongs to the Chinese Neo-Expressionist movement.

The style and appearance of Ma's current works reveal that her intention is to maintain the purity of motivation by abolishing the theme. From the paintings of Ma Wei-Hong, we can glimpse the difficult situation of our contemporary times.
