Biography

“I'm not an architect, and I don't consider myself as someone who knows architecture. Simply I am a passionate having dared to deepen in images this great complex theme with all the humility that is given to me in this approach. I travel the world and its cities with a simple look devoid of technicality, and often my senses allow me to capture an image that I do not wish to distort or fake with daring montages, out of respect for the architect who built it » , says Carol Aplogan.

The artist-photographer is not only in search of emotion, which itself is not the only definition of Art for her. The construction of his images can sometimes be deprived of it. Only creativity dominates. Reality as medium, photography as expression. The exterior and the interior mixed together, it transcribes a certain sense of its reality. She deepens her approach by going to meet architects whom she interviews in video format. They bring him the human, technical (in any measure) and necessary complement to feed his curiosity.

“Why should I absolutely wear the label of journalist or architect on my forehead to validate my right to these meetings and interviews? It is above all a question of connections and human relationships", explains the artist. A beautiful message on inclusive art open to all.
