To draw, not a landscape or a character, but rather a sensation, an impression, a feeling, the trace that remains of him, imprinted in my memory, like a scar that he deigned to leave me.

Some traces will be ephemeral, others indelible, at the mercy of an unsteady or, on the contrary, too decisive gesture. Either hesitation or anger, but always fragility. Fragility of the moment, fragility of paper, fragility of color.

The goal is to stay as long as possible without falling, without giving one brushstroke too many, the fatal touch that will break the balance. Of course, chance will play its part, but this chance will always be mine.

Dare, don't be afraid, the brush, the paper, the ink will always remain my allies. I give them the direction to follow, the place I want to go, they take me there.
