Biography

Claudine JANEL was born in Alsace (France)

Alongside a career in teaching where she was able to stimulate her creativity with young children, her interest in drawing and painting manifested itself very early through figurative drawings in ink and pencil.

The use of color came naturally to her pictorial work. Her paintings are created with acrylic paint and a palette knife on canvas or paper. On paper, she combines acrylic, ink, and pastel.

Prints and traces are also made with organic elements collected from nature.

Influenced by the works of Claude Monet, particularly the Water Lilies, whose effects of reflection in the water echoed her committed work in her early drawings, she naturally gravitated towards a work whose theme was the interpretation of the constant and imperceptible variations of light playing on nature, thus revealing all its beauty and fragility.

His painting reproduces atmospheres, fleeting impressions born from the movement of natural elements.

Her abstract pictorial approach, focused mainly on warm colors blended in transfigured spaces, captures attention through its poetry and the emotion it evokes.

Claudine JANEL is a member of the Taylor Foundation and AIDA (Association of Independent Artists of Alsace)
