Biography

Agnès Soustiel is one of those artists who communicate their vitality through their creations.

Between Paris, Hyères and Chaumot, her work results from her attachment to these three locations. In Paris, amidst the creative agitation, she draws her inspiration from it and grows as an artist each day. Then, facing the Iles d'Or, her ceramics fill up with light and iodine in Hyères, the city where she grew up. In Burgundy, in the silence of her country, her hands in the earth, she probes the seasons. Inspired by the 50s, Agnès Soustiel is amazed by the creations of Pablo Picasso, Téo Tobiasse, Roger Capron and Jean Lurçat and invented her very own bestiary: joyful, offbeat and poetic.
But especially, it is authentic.
