Biography

“When I paint, I start from reality but do not reveal anything of the totality, only a tiny part is the witness. Keeping only the emotion is essential for me. The rest suggests an individual imagination.

My paintings are maritime impressions. I work from sketches taken from life according to the emotions felt during my wanderings in the Gulf of Morbihan. I am looking for the soul of certain places that bear witness to a past. So each painting is the link in a long chain of thoughts, doubts, emotions, anguish and joy, I like to use the rough edges and the contrasts of the materials. What matters to me is to match the design with the material. "
