Biography
Born in Hong Kong in the 20th century, Wai Ming LUNG is a vagabond artist. He was born in Asia and lives in France.
In the telescoping of techniques he explores - photography, drawing, painting, sculpture - we find a poetry of the city, of concrete. A fictional art that links word and plastic, observation and fiction.
Techniques overlap, but Wai Ming Lung paints without repentance. Calligraphy lurks. Black says there is no white. Wai Ming Lung's multiple lives have given his practice a demand and a body.
He invents his territory between his sheets, before dawn. He delights in telling stories that conjure up acceptance of banality, as an attempt to escape alienation, and to give meaning to our Sisyphean condition.
