Biography

Manlio Bacosi (Perugia 1921-1998).

The Italian artist began his artistic career, training at the studio of the sculptor Leo Ravazzi; the attendance of Gerardo Dottori's studio is also important. In 1947 his first exhibition and since then he has set up numerous personal exhibitions in Italy and abroad. in 1975 the city of Montecatini organized a personal exhibition of more than 50 works. In December 1975 the municipality Rome presented his production in the halls of Palazzo Braschi. In 1976, he organized an anthological exhibition of over 80 works and was awarded the S. Valentino d'Oro International Award for Figurative Arts. His works are present in many collections, private and public, Italian and foreign.
