Brian King

Artist Statement:

I am an English artist living in Kent, where I was born, but have lived in various other places in between, mainly in London. I have also spent a lot of time in Sardinia where a lot of my paintings still reside. I exhibited there in Cagliari in 2012. I paint mainly in oils on canvas. My subject matter can be anything that gives me pleasure and inspires me to communicate the same feeling to anyone who might view the finished painting. I'm as likely to be painting Sardinia in the sunshine as Kent under snow.

Artistic Influences:

My main influences have been Van Gogh, Pissarro, Sisley and the European artists of the late 19th century generally.
