Norman Lerner

Artist Statement:

Award winning painter, photographer, educator, Norman Lerner has been visually exploring the world about him in various mediums since 1952. Equally at home with both painting and photography, Guido Organschi, curator and writer has stated that "few artists show the continued artistic growth and development in so many different areas that Lerner demonstrates...he truly is a Renaissance man". His work has been exhibited in group shows at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Santa Barbara Museum of Art and has appeared in many publications. Norman's interests are also eclectic whether it be faces or the landscape, it all depends upon his mood and like the weather, his interests can change depending on his mood. In a word, he is fascinated by everything that surrounds him.
