Biography
Carmelo Arden Quin, a major figure of geometric art, was born in Uruguay in 1913 and died in 2010. He was a pioneer of geometric abstraction.
Carmelo Arden Quin moved to Paris in 1948. He is a founder and theorist of the Madi group (appeared in Buenos Aires in 1946), which wanted to create a plural, transformable and ludic art. Their first manifesto appeared in 1953 and became famous in the art world, from South America to the Sorbonne.
