Description
Sailor Moon. An emblematic figure of an entire generation. In this work, I give her a new incarnation, more realistic, more anchored in our times. A way of revisiting a symbol of strength and gentleness through a contemporary aesthetic. The printed manga fragments invite themselves onto her face like shards of memory. They recall the character's origins, as if she carried within her the entire history of her universe. The gold paint highlights certain areas, not to glorify, but to illuminate what she represents: a familiar light, an inner heroine. A reinterpretation between pop culture, figurative art and an emotional wink.
This captivating work features a female figure with animation-inspired features, adorned with precise details and vibrant colors. The face, partially obscured by torn fragments of paper, creates a fascinating contrast between the softness of the features and the brutality of the tears. The color palette, dominated by pastel and golden tones, adds a dreamlike and poetic dimension. The piercing blue eyes immediately captivate the eye, while the golden touches evoke a mystical aura. The contrast between realism and abstraction enriches the visual complexity of the work. Emblematic elements, such as the tiara and the moon symbol, add a nostalgic touch while reinforcing the iconic character of the subject. Presentation
Since childhood, Noël Caizergues has had a passion for drawing, starting with creating Pokémon in his notebooks. This passion led him to explore various means of artistic expression, particularly through comic book characters. In 2013, he launched Level Art, a project that reflects his love of art and moves spectators at events such as the Toulouse Game Show. Noël highlights the strength and resilience of women through his pop culture-inspired collages, seeking to provoke meaningful conversations and social change.
