A gentle ode to Arcachon by Sophie Griotto.
With her new work, Sophie Griotto offers us a suspended moment, a breath of tranquility amidst the tumult of everyday life. We discover Notre-Dame-des-Passes, majestic and bathed in a soft, eternal light.
The gaze is first drawn to the sanctuary's elegant entrance, subtly depicted between shadow and light. Around it, the park unfolds tenderly: a vibrant red bench invites you to pause. A couple sits on it: he, seated calmly; she, lying down in a posture of total relaxation. It is a scene of simple life, yet deeply touching. The flowers in full bloom, the trees with dense foliage, the retro lamppost, and a bicycle leaning against the bench create an almost cinematic atmosphere, imbued with nostalgia and poetry.
Through this illustration of Arcachon, the artist manages to capture a moment of tranquil happiness, both intimate and universal. The subtle play of colors, the warmth of the tones, the fine details... Everything in this work exudes summer, memories, moments we would like to keep forever.
It is a gentle celebration of Notre-Dame-des-Passes, of the town of Arcachon, but also of love, of nature, of time passing slowly.

Presentation
Sophie Griotto was born in 1975 in Alès. She studied applied arts in Nîmes and then in Toulouse before moving to Paris where she worked for a large advertising agency. In 1988, she started working as a freelancer, as a storyboarder, which led her to make films for prestigious houses such as Dior or Jean-Paul Gaultier. She then decided to turn to illustration in 2003.
Her illustrations are inspired by the world of fashion, the world of media, the world of childhood and poetry. Women play a main role in her creations, she is represented in all her modernity.
Sophie Griotto uses a lot of fabric, which allows her to highlight the colors and patterns.
In 2014, Sophie Griotto was entrusted with the decoration of a Parisian hotel located at the rue de la Paix.
The illustrator is part of the art book "100 Illustrators" as well as in "Illustration now, Fashion" by Taschen.
