Carmen Baena

Born in Granada, she currently resides in Murcia, where she has spent most of her career. She currently has extensive exhibition experience in both solo and collective exhibitions at national and international venues.
She develops her artistic work through marble sculpture, embroidery on paper and canvas, and photographic experimentation. A reflective search for the inhabitability of the body, time, and space is decisive in all the techniques she uses. Spiritual and sensorial landscapes take on significant relevance and transport the viewer to an intimate, poetic, and enigmatic space. The nature that has surrounded her since her childhood in Granada inspires all her work with the same syncretism that attracted her sensitivity from those early years.
Her work is featured in public and private collections, in the Autonomous Communities of Murcia and Valencia, in city councils and museums such as the Postal Museum of Madrid, as well as in various European cities.
