Evrard & Koch: Hors Cadre # 2 December 1, 2016 - January 14, 2017 After a first remarkable exhibition in November 2015, the artist duo Evrard & Koch extended and radicalized their reflections in the exhibition Hors Cadre # 2. Originally the line, always, the line which guides, which rhythms and which breaks. But where the work is fragmented, it is fractured. Where the color palpitated on the back of the sculpture, it also spreads on the front. Where the black underlined the edges, it imposes itself on the facade. The rupture is consumed and the frame, bursting forth, reveals unexpected perspectives which are as many openings on new fields of exploration. The quest for an ideal of purity in traditional forms - signified by the large white monochromes, comes up against the emergence of new, irresistible forces which tear up virgin space and impose themselves to upset our field of vision. The vision of a world in rupture of which we do not know what will become of it.
