Presentation

For many years, the Ouattara twins (Assane and Ousseni) met the Burkinabe masks companies to explain the purpose of their approach: to promote and revitalize Burkinabe culture. They create contemporary work from traditional African masks and objects that they make copies of. They thus create their own symbols while working to safeguard the African heritage.

African masks are considered religious objects. Just like a church, it can be desecrated and its powers conferred on another mask. The masked mask of his magic power remains an object of art.
