Biography
Charlotte Falcini is a French artist born in Paris.
A graduate of the Vila Arson art school in Nice, Charlotte Falcini breathes a breath of fresh air into ceramic creation. Her refined and light sculptures offer a contemporary vision of this traditional art.
Composed of two elements, Charlotte Falcini's pieces function as autonomous entities, which play with each other in a game of attraction and balance, almost like a physical attraction. The link that unites them is immaterial but exists magnetically.
Hollows and curls lend her paintings a certain grace, supported by a refined harmony. The shapes are fluid and clear, encouraging contemplation.
Charlotte Falcini was the winner of the AFF Young Designers competition in 2004, and she won the Maison & Object Discovery Prize in January 2009 and the International Contemporary Ceramics Competition in 2001 in Faenza, Italy.
