Famous artist

Henry Moore is an English artist, born in 1898.
From a working class family, Henry Moore is one of the first sculptors to provide artistic modernity in the British society, of the 20th century, and for this he draws inspiration from primitive art.

Right since the 50's, Henry Moore enjoyed success, he taught in several universities and his creations were quickly at the top of the art market. However, since the end of World War II, the artist likes to live in a simple manner and give all the profits to the Henry Moore association to help promote and distribute art.

Henry Moore's sculptures are mainly inspired from the feminine body, he has gradually moved towards more abstract and elongated forms. He created a lot of his work during the bombings of the Second World War in London and these are preserved at the British Museum.
