    Jesús Rafael Soto (1923 - 2005) was a Venezuelan sculptor and painter.

    He is famous for his kinetic sculptures and optical effects. Jesús Rafael Soto was an important representative of op art and kinetic art. He examined the theme of the role of the viewer, especially through his interactive sculptures, the so-called 'Penetrables'

    His works are virtual volumes in space that seem to interact through their environments (nature, urban space etc.).
