David Le Gouar

Born in Saint-Denis in 1973, artist with a singular background, David Le Gouar developed a passion for drawing and creation at a very young age, before embarking on a long journey of initiation into the heart of urban and underground culture. From music to painting to video, he sharpened his vision and his style, in the wake of movements such as free figuration and street art. After a few years, he decided to devote himself entirely to painting, with a predilection for salvaged materials and an attraction for imperfection and the Lo-fi aesthetic. He notably exhibited in Miami, Paris and Brussels. Black and scathing, his work tears the veil of our habits to reveal the tenderness nestled in modern and ordinary violence.
