Biography

Clara Golinelli, an excellent excuse to frame a very particular artist, starting from her very name, exceptionally indicative in its Padana definition. Translated conceptually, we have "famous, shining in the floodplains," that is, living light in our once alluvial spaces, now fertile like her production and her status as an artist. Born in San Felice sul Panaro, in that area of Modena that defines itself as "lower class," but which is anything but, thanks to its active presence in the sociocultural context of Emilia, she came to painting not through academic training, nor even through naiveté or self-taught, but through a genuine maturation, both spiritual and rational, which led her, in 2002, to approach the teachings of the artist Angiolina Grandi. "Besides being an artist, she was also a professor at the Bologna Academy and a student of Morandi," a true turning point in her communicative capacity, certainly innate, yet unexpressed. The choice of technique is unequivocal and decisive: oil on canvas, entirely oriented towards the figurative genre, and already in this dimension its artistic character is revealed, definitive and progressive at the same time.
