Jacques Masclet

Watercolour artist • Passionate artist

A self-taught painter, Jacques Masclet was born on 19 July 1959 and lives in Quiéry-la-Motte, a village in Pas-de-Calais. He attended the Douai School of Art for three years from 2018.

Passionate about watercolour, particularly for the possibilities it offers to explore a subject, highlight light, and its sometimes disconcerting nature, the artist takes pleasure in practising this technique. For him, because of the atmospheres it evokes through light, watercolour is an invitation to travel.

Today, the artist continues to learn through videos, classes and courses taught by Roland Palmaerts.

Jacques Masclet has decided to specialise in everything related to nature. This thirsty learner is ready to explore other approaches to watercolour painting and conduct his own experiments.
