To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Jorj Morin's death, this exhibition brings his work into dialogue with that of Jean Branchet, his gallery owner, who, with his wife Jeannette, ran the Galerie Convergence in Nantes.
A talented graphic designer, he left his mark on advertising for Biscuiterie Nantaise, Petit Navire and Decré stores, among others, with a refined style and a touch of humour. Here, his work is revealed through painting, engraving, tapestry and, for the first time, his astonishing mosaic paintings.
Anchored in the modernity of his time, his art still resonates and continues to influence new generations.
This selection bears witness to the richness and timelessness of his work, affirming Jorj Morin as a key figure in the Archipel group and the Nantes artistic landscape.
