Biography

Georges Souchal is a self-taught painter from Provins (77), a medieval city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This city is full of remarkable historical monuments and is home to nearly a hundred half-timbered houses. Provins is also famous for its rose, a symbol of the region.

In addition to painting, Georges enjoys illumination, a passion he developed after attending a calligraphy course focusing on medieval techniques. For him, painting represents not only immense pleasure, but also a real "drug."
