Biography
Bernard Lorjou, born in Blois on September 9, 1908, and died in Saint-Denis-sur-Loire on January 26, 1986, is a French painter and engraver (lithography, etching and woodcut). At the end of the Second World War and during the 1950s, he was, along with Bernard Buffet, Jean Carzou, Alfred Manessier and a few others, one of the most cited and most famous French painters of the time.
