Marco Stefanucci

Marco Stefanucci lives and works in Rome, where he was born in 1970. He obtained a high school diploma in Graphic Design and then a degree in Art History at La Sapienza University in Rome. For several years he worked as a graphic designer in the fields of publishing and television. Although he has always been active in the pictorial field, his shy and reserved personality has always kept him out of the limelight and led him to the study of techniques and the expansion of his historiographic research in isolation. His work as a graphic designer has been enriched by his intense experience as an art photographer. The use of darkroom, acids and dyes are elements that characterize his paintings. Constant references to the past become the pillars of his painting. It is in the extreme solitude of these long working days that the artist captures the deepest meaning of life and the elements that surround him. Sometimes he is able to find answers, but other times these answers become nightmares.
