Morgan Grady-Smith

Morgan is a self-taught artist living and working in Hamilton, Ontario. Currently using acrylic paint and oil stick to create her vivid, abstracted landscapes, she has also worked with coloured pencil and oil pastel. Inspired by fauvism, post-impressionism, and vintage textiles and ceramics, she builds scenes that are less interested in the details of natural elements than in the relationships between silhouettes of bold colour and energetic forms. She seeks to share with viewers her experience of both witnessing and embodying the natural world. 

Morgan's work has appeared in local galleries and is held in private collections across Canada and in the U.S.
