Presentation

Kekli was born in 1979. Kekli began painting in the 90s via hip-hop culture through graffiti. Over time, a character takes an increasingly important place in his work, the “Boyo”, a yellow head displaying a frozen smile that he exhibits in the streets of Paris and other cities of France. He draws, stencils, glues and paints his characters with broad smiles on the four corners of the streets of our cities, paying homage to the heroes of his childhood and to the icons of pop culture. These smiles scattered in the streets try to make other smiles appear, to generate an answer, a smile from the passer-by, to get him out of his routine even if only for a few seconds. In March 2017, he participated in the second edition of Boulevard du Graff on Boulevard Chasles, in Chartres. This boulevard welcomes a dozen graffiti artists who create live creations, in front of passers-by. At their disposal: tarpaulins of 6m2, divided into triptychs, to express themselves in complete freedom. His graphic work is also appreciated by many clients, we find in his references: Dior, Tony Parker, BMW Motorrad, Sonatel, Nintendo, Orange TV, L'Oréal, France 2, TF1 musique, FranceÔ, MCM, Nestlé, W9 ...
