After a personal career spent between Africa and Europe in particular with the great Senegalese painter Jacob Yacouba, Clément Garnung began his professional artistic career 6 years ago, after his studies in architecture.

He has numerous exhibitions to his credit, between France, South Africa, the Philippines, Canada and Senegal where he exhibited in particular at the National Gallery of Arts in Senegal in March 2014. It is now exhibited permanently within the collection of the Pierre Lombart foundation and a series of international residencies. It will be presented at the Cape Town Art Fair in February 2018.

His graphic work is inspired by figurative narration. Indeed, Art is for him the direct expression of the human condition. Close to current issues, he develops his own creative process: art as a vector, as a reflective tool capable of touching and bringing together different layers of our societies.

Within his approach, he pays particular attention to the university research community, which he meets and questions in order to support his point.

Inviting the spectator to compose his work, he is inspired by the Fluxus movement or by artists such as Oliviero Toscani or Banksy to develop a strong and close bond with the public. of the Architecture of Agro-Ecology and digital and technological development.
