Born in 1963 in Epinay-sur-Seine, Isa Sator is a painter and designer, she graduated from the Cultural Center of Guerche-de-Bretagne, with an specialization in painting. Afterwards, she studied law to become a lawyer, but she did not like Parisian life so she decided to settled in New Caledonia to exercise her profession. After her marriage, she abandoned the legal environment and resumed her artistic training by following drawing courses at the Art Center of Noumea, where she had the opportunity to work, as well with Michel Rocton, who taught her about sculpting.
After living more than ten years on the Pacific island of Noumea, she returned to Paris, where she currently lives and works. All the years spent with the art masters of Noumea influenced her work, especially in regards to the use of a color palette made of bright, brilliant colors. which constitute the shape and the background of her work.
