Presentation

Pierre Jacob, born in Paris on July 25, 1955, French nationality. Training and career in the architectural professions.

Studies in Decorative Arts schools in Paris, then career in Interior Architecture in the planning and decoration office of a major Parisian luxury hotel group. From 1988: entry into the Engineering office of Aéroports de Paris, headed by architect Paul ANDREU. Participation in the major achievements of the development of Roissy-CDG airport until 2015. At the same time, from 1999, the start of a personal painter's work. This activity becomes stronger under the impetus of meetings of artists in the painting workshops of the City of Paris.

Painter, designer and plastic artist.

Through subjects, having multiple influences, what drives me is an endless search for a universe of free expression in which spatiality dominates. However, it is the surrealists that I refer most often. The subjects that I particularly like often come from a figuration, being in reality only a pretext for an interior exploration, and often result from sketches and collages. I give myself no limit of inspiration: ancient art, modern and contemporary art, poetry as much as the vulgar, music as much as noise, imagination as much as everyday life ...

Numerous group and individual exhibitions.
