Presentation

Born in 1961, I have always been creative and have been able to express this character trait in my job as a pastry chef. I started painting in 2008. I started before by scribbling some drawings and pastels when I was very young. Since painting has done me good for my body as much as for my mind. I find there a form of relaxation that goes through letting off steam and creating. It's an instinctive process where I let go, let myself go, where everything is spontaneous.

My technique derives from this: at the start I take my pastels and make lines, curves, without trying to represent anything specific. That's when I change medium and choose to bring in acrylic, until I'm on the point of no return: the final subject is in place and I have to try to refine it without loose it. Franco-Canadian, I exhibited in both countries.
