Biography
“Through my photos I manage to write a story, through my shots I give voice to my thoughts, through my images I want to tell stories of life."
Prisca Tozzi, born in 1987, is an Italian photographer currently based in London and working between London, Florence, and Paris. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Video, Photography and New Media acquired in Florence. Her work is a fusion of all the things she loves: people, nature and food.
Prisca Tozzi is an established fashion and portrait photographer, known for her distinctive style and her ability to capture the essence of her subjects. Her natural ease with people creates a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere during her photo shoots, enabling her to capture authentic and genuine moments. The resulting images are both visually striking and emotionally resonant.
In 2020, during pandemia, she published her first photography book, Apnesya, a tribute to the natural beauty of the Aeolian Islands, and at the same time, a wake-up call, The book is both a celebration of beauty and a warning, emphasizing that environmental awareness at an individual level is the only key to protect our planet and shared habitat.
In 2023, she began developing a new artistic project titled Pelle (“Skin"), which is still in progress. Each photograph in this series is an invitation to reflect on the complexity and intrinsic beauty of the skin, not merely as an outer layer, but as a canvas that tells stories of life, culture, and identity. Skin becomes a language through which the multiplicity of human experience is expressed. Wrinkles, scars, textures, and colours represent not only genetic differences, but also the marks of lives lived in diverse historical and geographical contexts.
In recent years, Prisca has collaborated with various brands, and her photographs have been featured in multiple art catalogues and fashion magazines.
