“Inspired by nature, between plant and mineral, my work approaches its structure, its rhythm, its composition, its vitality, but also its degeneration.  I look for its movement, the breath of the wind, the imprint of the rain, the heat of the sun, the shine of the waves, the spray, the hardness and flexibility of the earth, the calm and energy of the water , the breath of the air... I look for the emotion of  living things. » 

TRACES: “Always remember...”  
The ceramic comes to life, imprints and pulsations, wet fluidities, heart to body, salt spray, smells, breaths and respirations. 
“My latest pieces come from work and research into materials, textures, traces or scars that personalize us, and that shape us.  
A way of observing our universe, and our own nature…” 

While working on this subject, I became aware that traces, everywhere, reveal a path, a journey. 
It is these impressions, these imprints that objects, places, beings... leave in our mind, in our memory that reveal themselves. 
Traces are marks, they are lines that we make for a drawing, they are the first points, the first lines to mark the contours of a needlework... 
A clear path… 
Traces guide, they challenge others, they enable remembrance but also memory. 
The hands trace point after point, cells, scratches, holes after holes... thus the mind moves, the memory is there marked, inscribed in the earth, obvious. Hands remember,  they follow, take a path, order themselves, organize themselves and to the rhythm of memory, the memory appears, arises...  
It's up to you to guess it, to make your interpretation of it, to make it your own. 

Porcelain is my preferred medium for exploring these subjects, thanks to its transparency, its plasticity, its sensitivity to capturing emotion and its very particular assertive character.
