Ana Popescu

Ana Popescu is a French visual artist born in 1988 in Tîrgu-Mures, Romania. She works in several mediums such as pencil, felt tip pens, markers, and brushes with acrylic paint while exploring the different themes and perceptions of space.

Popescu studied graphics and printmaking in university and has been working on her art in Vienna Austria ever since graduation. Her work does not portray realism but mainly focuses on realistic objects, situations and shapes. She portrays basic shapes and everyday objects with vivid colours which bring them to life and are aesthetically pleasing. Her work prominently combines simple forms and strong colors.
