Biography
Claude Hémeret is a French painter born in Nice in 1929.
Having spent his childhood in the South of France, Claude Hemeret draws his inspiration from warm lights and typical smells of the South. He transcribes a particular atmosphere which recalls the smell of lavender, cypress and the heat of the sun on his paintings.
On his canvases we can perceive a certain sensibility, a calm strenght and a great humanity, although his postraits are abstract, because in his relationship with others, the artists cultivates love and friendship with a talent and an art that have nothing to envy his pictorial genius.
