Alex Laben

Laben (Arezzo, 1980), after a past as a musician and goldsmith model maker, always attentive to the aesthetic side and the most subtle facets of artistic expressions, began his Stencil Art project thanks to a series of experiments with various materials and colors.

His multi-layered stencil technique is highly recognizable, sometimes used in a basic way, other times recreating extremely detailed subjects, reaching up to 15 levels of color modulation.

His works are exclusively figurative, often in black and white on highly contrasting colored patterns, with a clear Pop Art influence.

The polychrome damask backgrounds, which make his style immediately recognizable, are a constant presence in his work, sometimes mixed with geometries and vector shapes, abruptly interrupted by monochrome tears.

He has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions in Italy, and his works are in private collections around the world. Since 2025, he has been collaborating with the Tobian Art Gallery in Florence.
