Brigitte Di Scala

Born in 1959, the artist lives and works in Mundolsheim near Strasbourg.

She attended the studio of the painter K. Rezvanian for a year, then the Higher School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg for 3 years. Through her very personal style of impressionist inspiration, she invites you to immerse yourself in a dreamlike world in which she seeks to translate the emotion that it can give us. It very often places the person low to the ground: an unusual point of view on nature.

The subjects that touch her are the flowers of wild meadows for the freedom they represent; the canvas then comes alive with this fuzzy impression of feeling the flowers and trees moving. The work in the open air, directly on the motif represents her most beautiful workshop, but it is in the intimate universe of her workshop in Mundolsheim with the help of her pencil sketches and her memories, that she works most of the time. with passion.

His favorite techniques are oil and acrylic painting using only extra fine colors which bring to the canvas this beautiful luminosity and conservation over time. The work is done instinctively with a spatula and brushes.
