Biography

Behind the name TAMES lies an artist for whom creation is a constant exploration. His journey unfolds through travel, encounters, and his own discoveries. He draws inspiration from the forms, textures, and aesthetics that surround him. His eye has been honed at the intersection of fashion shows, museums, and the streets. Everything becomes a source of inspiration: a line on a catwalk, a color in an alleyway, a visual composition where it is least expected. It was in Mexico City, immersed in the raw energy of street art, that he became aware of the power of spontaneous art, a direct response to its environment. Then, in New York, a pivotal encounter with the renowned Franco-American painter, Jaouad Bentama, transformed his vision. TAMES then decided to give voice to his feelings and commitments, initially through sculpture, before exploring painting as another avenue of expression. It is no longer simply a practice; it is a way to rethink the reality around him. Back in Paris, his ideas took shape, and one thing became clear: he chose the cactus. This symbol, representing both quiet strength and adaptability, seemed to reflect his own artistic approach. The cactus embodies this resilience, this ability to thrive despite difficult conditions. Immobile, yet firmly rooted, it represents for TAMES a calm resistance and an inner strength that flourishes against all odds. This creation is an organic metaphor for his journey.

TAMES' artistic approach explores the intersection of creative intuition, contemporary sculpture, and digital technologies. Each work originates from an inner vision, translated into drawing and then developed into 3D modeling, before taking shape and being finalized with paint, which brings depth, character, and uniqueness to each piece. The cactus, a central figure in his universe, embodies resilience, adaptation, and quiet strength. Through this refined and organic form, TAMES offers a contemporary interpretation of the balance between fragility and power, stillness and inner energy. At the crossroads of urban art, design, and contemporary sculpture, his works engage naturally with architecture and find their place in exceptional locations, offering a presence that is at once understated, powerful, and timeless.

TAMES combines drawing, digital design, and sculptural work to create pieces with clean, contemporary lines. The pieces are then hand-painted, each finish conceived as an artistic signature. The contemporary materials chosen allow for great formal freedom and seamless integration into exceptional spaces.
