Biography
Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1943.
He is self-taught as an artist.
He has lived in Spain.
His artistic outlook has been influenced by Joaquín Torres-García, a major Uruguayan constructivist painter; Ney values ideas that place his visual vision between total abstraction and imitation of nature.
Ney's work leans abstract, and his compositions often incorporate existential or philosophical ideas.
Aramis Ney works in mixed media, and often uses paper as his support.
