Simon Kroug

Simon Kroug lives and works in Lausanne, Switzerland, and Falmenta, Italy. He is a graduate of ECAL, Lausanne University of Art and Design (2001). 

The common thread running through his work is the intention to reconnect with one's natural roots and the environment, through the experience of a place, a space, a landscape. The artist claims contemplation as a fundamental principle of existence, and his paintings as much as his smaller prints testify to a quasi-meditative approach. His preferred medium is paper (Japanese, Thai or Western).
