Artsboud

Artsboud, born in Rouen in 1981, is a passionate artist whose creative universe is deeply influenced by his early inspirations. From an early age, he discovered a love of drawing, painting and graffiti. His fascination with cartoons, comics, manga and the iconic heroes of the 80s, as well as films and TV series, is reflected in his vibrant and dynamic work.Artsboud's originality lies in his innovative use of the 1 dollar note as his main medium. He uses a meticulous technique of spraying spray paint onto his base medium, then sticking the note(s) to it before drawing on them with Posca. This process requires a precise number of passes to achieve a final result where the banknote becomes invisible.As well as his work on banknotes, Artsboud likes to step out of his comfort zone by personalising vintage objects. His artistic approach allows him to explore various media, such as old letters and stamps, as well as original materials such as minitels and rotary phones, but it is really the 1 dollar note that remains his favourite playground.Committed to sharing his passion, Artsboud also works in schools, where he runs art workshops. These moments of exchange with children are precious for him, as they allow him to discover their vision of drawing and creation, while encouraging them to express their own creativity through his unique style.
