Alessandro Grazi is a painter from Siena, active on the Italian artistic and cultural scene, who carries out graphic and material experiments with a great ironic and critical spirit, often affected by references to spatialism and some aspects of futurism. The artist dynamically uses the space of the work as a blank page on which he draws lines and graphic signs, arranges drawings and images, interspersing everything with words, phrases, pictorial cuts, skilfully combining the visual research of the consummate advertiser with an idea of broader poetic scope. In Alessandro Grazi's works, graphic space and image merge to perfection, determining a visual continuity that is not without a solid dynamic relationship, composed of simple perceptive principles, a lively chromatic sensitivity and a marked graphic-expressionist evidence. Moreover, aware of the lessons of visual poetry and of certain forms of mail art, the artist makes interesting considerations about contemporaneity, feelings and man in general with a great sense of irony. The Sienese painter's work is a dynamic gesture that plays with spaces, surfaces and colour textures through a decisive design and strong figurative evidence. In 2007 he had the honour of painting the Palio of Siena dedicated to the Madonna of Provenzano on the theme of voluntary work.
Alessandro Grazi lives and works in Asciano. He was born in Siena and acts in the Italian artistic and cultural scene with a graphic-tactile experimentation charged with an ironic spirit, typical of his own character. He is influenced by spatialism and futurism. The space of his work is experienced as a white page on which he draws marks and lines, drawings punctuated by words, phrases and cut-outs from paintings that merge graphics and advertising in an artistic and extremely poetic unicum. Space and images come together perfectly to determine a visual continuity with a solid dynamic relationship and simple perceptive principles, as well as a lively chromatic sensibility and a marked graphic-expressionist impact. Moreover, with his touches of visual poetry and mail art, the artist expresses with great irony some interesting considerations about contemporary man, his feelings and his way of life. His painting is gestural in that he plays with spaces, surfaces and the weaving of colours in a concise and sculptural arrangement. In 2007 he had the honour of painting the Palio di Siena with the Madonna di Provenzano. He is highly appreciated and for many years has been seen in solo exhibitions and prestigious events.
