This abstract work is distinguished by its bold composition of dynamic black shapes, contrasting against a light background. The traces are broad and vigorous, creating a fluid and energetic movement across the canvas. At the center of the work, a touch of red vibrates and captures the eye, breaking the monochromatic harmony and adding a striking emotional depth. The drooping traces of paint suggest a spontaneity and freedom of expression characteristic of gestural art. The juxtaposition of these elements creates a captivating visual tension. The painting embodies an exploration of space and contrast, inviting the viewer to discover each subtle nuance in a complex and expressive visual whole. This piece illustrates, as is often the case in the artist's work, the expression of antagonism, engaging the audience in an introspective dialogue.

Born in 1965 in Villerupt (Meurthe et Moselle) in France, Jérôme Chiarodo graduated from the Paris Belleville School of Architecture.
He lives and works in Paris, and simultaneously leads a pictorial and architectural work.
Jérôme Chiarodo's work is the graphic expression of his obsessions: the balance of the elements, space, time. The real concretization of his painting came at the end of a long maturation to achieve abstraction. His favorite motifs are graphs, volumes, lines, which express tensions, vibrations, and dynamic balances.
The material spreads out, flows and retracts into multicolored concretions.
The use of acrylic paint allows him speed, fluidity in the gesture. His work is close to tags and graffiti. He captures the immediacy of movement and experiences transparency. The painting then expresses the moment, frozen on the canvas. Instinctive painting and expression of liberation, he works on liquid matter because "it remains a living matter".
He plays with matter, transparency, water and color. The vibrations maintained by the play of light and masses offer him an infinite variation of possibilities. He sublimates this light which literally crosses his canvas to escape nothingness.
His work is organized in a serial way. In painting as in his sculptures, he approaches series as so many modulations between full and empty, weightlessness and gravity.
He is in search of recounting, the source of emotion: "more is too much, less is nothing".
