Biography

Bertrand Henry, painter and engraver, was born in Courbevoie in 1959. From 1997 to 2011, he divided his time between Paris and Ardèche where he had a workshop at the Pont d'Aleyrac Art Center (Saint- Pierreville). He currently resides in the Paris region. He mainly devotes himself to the line, whether engraved, drawn or painted, using inks but also the ballpoint pen. He has a great mastery of engraving processes, working on a regular basis in the workshops of URDLA, International Print Center in Villeurbanne, where he produces Adret, large-scale engraving (180 x 240 cm) as well as more than 'a dozen lithographs and etchings. The Saint-Prex intaglio workshop in Switzerland allows him to deepen his knowledge of the manufacture of inks and to print in particular, the print commissioned by the Chalcography of the Louvre. Agendas, books, prints, inks on paper or on fabrics give us back, in all formats, the formal beauty of the landscape.
