Poet, architect and then graphic designer, I tamed oil painting after my arrival in FRANCE. I am a figurative style artist, working on canvas or old-fashioned wood, using successive layers
("glaze"). My first visual inspirations are books from my childhood, richly illustrated.

My work constantly evolves towards an imagery-symbiosis of different cultures, legends, mythologies: Persia, India, Egypt, Japan, Thrace, Byzantium. With inspiration from stained glass, Art Nouveau, fairy tales from my childhood, each painting is an “eternal shelter” for the best part of me – my youthful dreams.
