With Lines of Life, Antoinette Rozan offers an immersion into the heart of an artistic language where the line comes alive and matter moves.
A multidisciplinary artist, creation is a vital expression for her, which she has explored for over 20 years in 2D and 3D, conveying its power and energy to us daily. Through a collection of 41 works—paintings, ink drawings, copper wire sculptures, and bronzes—this exhibition reveals the coherence of a body of work where each gesture and each line carries within it a singular intensity.
The line, a fundamental element of her artistic expression, unfolds here in all its forms: fluid, vibrant, continuous, or fragmented. In the copper sculptures of the Élan de Vie series, it becomes a body in motion, tracing minimalist and flamboyant silhouettes in space, as if suspended in an invisible equilibrium. In the bronzes of the Free Story series, she embodies welcoming figures with open, expansive arms, affirming a freedom and joy of being that unfolds infinitely.
The works in the Loverdose Flag series, on the other hand, introduce color like a shockwave to deploy their messages more powerfully. These are flags displaying monumental, vibrant, and luminous hearts, true symbols of a collective drive toward more love, connection, and humanity. Through this universal symbol, she commits to issuing calls to place the heart at the center of our lives, like a banner, to unite in respect for the richness of our humanity and to embrace the spirit of Peace.
Paradox is at the heart of the strength she infuses into her works. She embodies, and her art also reflects, the joy of living, despite a life marked by hardship. Through her work and messages, we reconnect with the idea that anything is possible despite appearances, and that life sometimes gives us the illusion that we are limited. Antoinette Rozan proves to us, through universal symbols that resonate in our lives, that the opposite is possible.
With Lines of Life, the artist invites us to an experience that is both visual and physical.
An invitation to feel, to reconnect with an essential energy, to perceive the movement that flows through us and connects us. For here, the line is not just a mark. It is a presence. It is an impulse. It is life in motion.
